NEW CLASSES at Golden Breath™
YOGA
NEW! Yoga classes at our Cottman Avenue headquarters begin on February 13, 2012.
LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE. Contact us for more information. Note: this class is now fully booked and closed to new applicants. If you wish to find out about the next cycle of yoga classes, please contact us to be put on the waiting list.
Offered in the Vinyasa style of connecting the breath with movement, this class promotes relaxation in the body, mind, and spirit. Students can expect to gain flexibility, tone the body, build core strength, and leave feeling rejuvenated and energized. Begin or deepen your practice in a relaxed, comfortable and nurturing environment.
From beginner to experienced practitioner, this class is for anyone of any age, shape or size who wants to enjoy the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required.
- Bring a yoga mat for comfort and safety.
- Arrive early. Allow yourself a few minutes before class begins so you can take care of signing in, setting up your mat, and getting settled in your space.
- If you arrive after class has begun, please enter quietly and be seated. Wait to unroll your mat until after the 'centering' (opening) portion of the class is complete.
- Best not to eat before class. Yoga should be practiced on an empty stomach. If this is difficult or you find yourself lightheaded during class, then try some fruit juice or a light snack.
- Be sure to hydrate beforehand and, if you like, bring a bottle of water to replenish after class.
- Wear comfortable clothing in fabrics that allow you to move and wick away moisture.
- Yoga is practiced in bare feet and shoes should be removed before entering the classroom.
- Notify your instructor if you have any pains, aches or health concerns. If you do have a medical condition, be sure that your doctor has cleared you for yoga practice.
